Forward-Looking Policies and Skills Development Drive Cambodia’s Sustainable Growth

Cambodia recently held a seminar on “Skills and Productivity,” focusing on enhancing workforce skills and strengthening national competitiveness. Government, private sector, international organizations, and development partners jointly explored skills gaps and forward-looking policies, while encouraging companies to provide internships for students and trainees to cultivate high-quality talent. Based on the seminar outcomes, the Cambodia Employers Federation will develop a 2025–2030 mid-term strategy to promote skills development and productivity growth. The International Labour Organization emphasized that a high-skilled workforce is key to economic diversification and attracting foreign investment. Amid global economic changes, close cooperation and forward-looking policies are essential to seize investment opportunities and drive sustainable national development.
